Greetings My scouting history was a long time ago. Cub Scout Pack 168 Reseda, Calif about 1960-62. Boy Scout Troop 168 Reseda, Calif 1963-1965. Post 117 Reseda, Calif 1966-1969. I was inducted into OA in 1966. The ordeal ceremony was at Camp Whitsett in Kern County, Calif. I edited the Walika 228 newsletter for a couple years when the San Fernando Valley Council offices were in Van Nuys. In Boy Scouts I was a bugler. I was playing trumpet in junior high so it wasn't a big jump. When I got the merit badge for bugling I played 32 bugle calls from sheet music. First time the merit badge councilor had seen that. I though it was pretty cool at the time. In 1967 I was in the staff-in-training program at Camp Whitsett as part of the rifle range staff. That was alot of fun. I attended Camp Whitsett every year from 1963 to 1967. In 1967 I was 16, got my first job, first car and first girlfriend. Things have gone downhill ever since:-) Don v/dB
