I know how you feel Eamonn, im steadily watching my troop die away, and there's nothing to stop it......

1) I wasnt livving in the parish 2) I dont want any adults in the counseling becaue then the scouts wont tell me what is wrong, and everyone has something to do after the meeting, my SM has to check on his wife, homework, sports, etc. 3) yes 4) She has "friends" within the School Board(we are in the same school parish), her husband is the mayor of the town that the son as two other scouts attend, she is a member of the clubs that we gain much of our donations and help from, (these club beleive every word she tells them, ans we need mone for the troop) and she such a loud mouth. 5) I can act. As I have said before, I will not styand aside like some dang fool as she trys to run the troop, Myself and the JASM are already trying to get our old ASM back. And with five Eagle Scouts in the troop, we will act. She will act back by aiming the clubs at us, but I think that the parsih will beleive Eagle Scouts more than some short little loud mouth. Excuse my comment about her. Ok, I m calm now. What Im trying to say is that, even thought many of you beleive this is wrong, if the adults and other members of the Committee wont act, the PLC will. Hopefully, we can convince the Committee to take her off the Committee. In her head, she thinks that adults are the head of everything. Which that is true, to a certain point. Adults are the heads, but in the Scouts, the boys are the entire body, without the body the head is useless. She basically needs to learn this is a boy'ran organization, unlike Cub Scouts. But now, instead of attacking back, I've have decided not to stoop to her level. I will just smile, and be cheerful, I many not be to help it if a laugh or two comes out, but Im not going to let her bother me anymore. See, here's something funny. At or meeting last night, I handed outa new phone lsit to everyone. Well, she had gotten one. By the end of the meeting, she had found two mistakes. They were that two members of the Committee wernt on there. One of them was pure accident, and the other name was hers. If her and her husband both live at the same house, are both on the Committee, and there is no reason that someone would not know that was her number( keep in mind we only have 10 scouts not including the Venturers) So she got all mad ande everything, and then i explained to her that Everyone knows that her and her husband have the same number, and why should I waste my ink to put something everyone already knows on there. Besides, no one needs to call her about anything on the Committee. If they did, when they called her husband, they were calling her too. Its that simple. Well, she got mad and jsut a hollaring away. So eventually I started to crack up, not on ppurpose, but because her argument was funny to me. Then she started holloring some more so I just walked off, since it takes me two hours to get home and there was no sense in listening to her argument. I mean she couldnt change it now.

It all began in my elementry years. I was in third grade, and her son was just begining 1st grade. She had said her son would be the best one in the history of the school. Many told them about three kids around his age. Me, my best friend, and my best friend that has now moved. She had made friends within the school board and at the school. It turns out us three had beaten him at all academics. Lets speed forward. Its now seventh grade, my last year at the school. Our principle had told everyone that me and my best friend(the other had now moved) were the best and smartest students in the history of the school(keep in mind the school was only about 20 yrs. old when i joined in first grade) the mom was now furious, since from the standings, her son could even now never catch up to us. So she tryed to attack me on another front. I was living in another parish at the time. She found out. She tryed to get me kicked out. And at mid-term the school said I had three week before i had to leave. Me and my family fought back. My principle tried to convince the school board, but they refused. So me and my family talked to them. Finally I came one on one with the Superintendant, he had remembered how many times we had met before, for i had earned many honors. He then brought it back to the Boards. He told me I could stay in the school parish. He told me he expected good things out me in the future. I then finished out that last year at the school(you could only go to 7th grade at that school) and earned mnay awards, also one that only two others in the parish had received. A scholorship to go to New Orlean at any time during the next two years and visit the Zoo, Aqaurium, and Museum for free, and i could go for everyday if i wanted too. Lets speed up a year. I went to new school in parsih and and finished 8th grade there, also earning many awards, now we're in the 9th grade and her son is in the 7th grade at my old school. It turns out her son cant earn that award i earned, so she has tryed to get out of the parish, we fought back again, and we can still go there, but we have now moved here. She now hates me because of the acheivments i have earned. She now wants him to "beat me" in Boy Scouting. Currently, i am still "winning" in Boy Scouting. Also, she tried to attack the other boy, my best friend. She caused him to drop out of scouting. But i promised him that she would not make me quit, because he had got first started in Cub Scouting, and I wasnt going to stop now. And my Scoutmaster. He helped me deal with family problems. He kept me from doing things now that i look back on im glad i didnt. At first i joined scouting to hang with my friends, but he turned my life around, and im now SPL and Eagle canidate, when I didnt beleive i would earn Tenderfoot. He is like my second father, my mentor. His wife has many problems, cancer and things, and he cant deal with this woman right now. So I owe it to him and repay the favor, and help him out. I wont let him down. Now that I have told you my entire story, I hope you now see why i think the way i do.

Im sorry to say, but ive came to my decision. As for your comments Bob White, (1)She is registered (2)I am going to deal with this. Im tired of you all attacking my SM, he is a dear friend of mine and helped with things beyond that of words. She is beyond listening to adults. I will do what is neccesary. She is not going to threaten me in any way shap or form. I respect her, but that's as for as it goes. I would take a bullet for the scouts, but not for her. I guess its time I tell you the real reason I dislike her so. (3) I will never, mark me NEVER, join another troop. That is what she wants me to do, ill explain in the next post. Im not going to stand around and wait for things to play out, i will take action. If this causes the end of my scouting, im sorry, but i will not allow any other scout to be treated as she has treated me. If i do get put out, and she does too, then i will have no regrets for my actions, only apologies.

Our JASM is the Door Guard. And there use to be a group of people in our troop called the Biggin Honor Soceity, and there have been no more than four in there, and I am one of them. And the other two are away at college so then im the only BHS left in the troop. We have requirements too!! So then if she is on the Committee, does she hold leadrship? We only acknowledge the Secretary, Treasuer, Scoutmaster, and Assistant Scoutmaster as leaders on the Committee. See, our Scoutmaster will always be our Scoutmaster due to that no one beleives there is anyone better in our Council(because there isnt) thank god for that!! And he also the head man on the Committee. See, here's our thing, when a parent signs their son up, they are automatically put on the Committee, but we dont acknowledge them as leaders. First, she is on the Committee, but I dont think she is registerd. Second, the conseling in tommorrow, and if she does interfere, i will act. This goes deeper than jsut scotuing, it goes to my family and my education. In my position, i lead the troop, but i also protect the troop. If she verbally attackes one of the scouts, I will act and so will the JASM, my fellow Eagle canidate. We have received the same training, and we feel we should now act. The SM wont be in the Conseling, and she will find some way to sneak in. It is now time for us to act. If the adults, who will? We will.

Thanks for congrats, also I just got bored last night and i thouroughly read the Venturing handbook, this what it said. Pg. 4 "You may receive multiple credit for requirements....the only time you cannot use the multiple credit is when you are required to do a tabletop presentation" also on Pg. 4 "All core requirements and elective require you to do work as a Venturer." So, when I'm doing my merit badges, if their are some of the same requirments, i can dually use them instead of doing them twice. Also, I if two or more requiremnts have the same requriments, I can use it for both of them. Therefore, I can use the requirments to earn other awards such as the Hornaday badge. Also, if my Eagle Scout project follows the Conservation requirements part (a), I can use it for my Eagle Project and my Conservation Project. Also, what does it mean by a standard First Aid course, I've takin a First Aid class and earned my First Aid merit badge, I dont know if this counts. After my Eagle stuff is done I'll focus more closly on the Ranger. Besides, with being active in 4-H, FFA, Beta, High School Quiz Bowl, Rallies, Class Officers, Boy Scouts, Ventuering, and soon ICP, I can only handle one major award at a time!

I am now in a Venturing Crew. All of this happened around the same time.

Ok, im going to explain everything in details. At our Summer Camp I had a Counseling for our Leaders(PL, APL, Scribe, and QM) I did this so for my JLT Ticket requirement. I told them there would be a follow up conseling. This is the follow up conseling. Not another council. Second, Venturing patrol. When the Summer Camp was in gear, we were still a Venturing Patrol. When I said "us Venturers", I mean the people who were in the Ventuer Patrol, who are also now in our Venturing Crew. I am the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 15 I am a member of Troop 15 I am a member of Crew 15 I was formerly a member of Pack 15 Here are the only positions, and if you think i forgot some, I dint, we dotn have all the ones we're supposed to have. Scoutmaster Assistant Scoutmaster (3) Troop Secretary Troop Treasurer Junior Assistant Scoutmaster (1) Senior Patrol Leader Patrol Leader (1) Assistant Patrol Leader (1) Scribe Quartermaster thats it.....

I think I said this somewhere else before but what the heck I am 14 I have earned the Bronze Award in the Venturering "Patrol" In the requirments for Ranger, the majority of them are also merit badges, and with the merit badges, I will reuse that knowledge and do work the Ranger requirements See, I'm not using the merit badges to count off the requirements, but using what I learn to acheive the Ranger Award requirments. Until Im'm told I can use the merit badges to count off the requirements, I will just use the knowledge to work the requiremnets. Now thats a tounge twister!!!! Also, I wont be 15 until August, so I will be the yougest Eagle in my troop, parish, pretty sure district, pretty sure council, but not for sure bout state.

First, her son is the Quartermaster, see, the meeting wasn't a PLC, is was a Leaders Couseling, and if there are any adults around they dont want to epress their true feeling for some reasons. Also, the PLC wants her out, the SM wants her out, and the entire Committee except for her and her husband want her out, but then the politics come in, and since they will hopefully be transferring in the next 6 months, we're tryin not to start an uproar. Talked to SM, and since they hopefully will be leaving soon, he siad to just play it by ear, and just try to get them out without makin a big scene. Then when the boy leaves, the mom and the dad( volunteer ASM) will leave, and I will personally ask our former ASM to rejoin us, since he gave up his postion because that same boy had cause him to pressure on his heart. But with the boy gone, everything will go ever so smoother, and he hopefully wont have any more heart problems. So I guess do any of you ahve anything i can ask of her when she comes in that cant have any sounds of sarcasticness or being disrespectful. I have to admit, she has made all of us Venturers thinking about quiting the troop for a while until she had left more than once. I wont quit Scouting because of her though. Never will I do that.

Thank you dsteele, for I will hold you high in my thoughts when I ventur further into my Eagle. When I graduate, I hope to join some military for at least 2 years. And after that, i hope to become a lawyer. Then I will be following the Scout Oath, "To do my duty to God and My Country". Am I then only teenager in on this site? I kinda feel awkward no if I am.

I konw thats not the official title, but I'm looking for something to see if it exists. Many people have told me something about it. It says that an Adult can not threaten a scout in anyway shape or form for that reasons of following their position. Its the lady this time, and I've been told at my next meeting with the Leaders (our Quatermaster, Scribe, PL, and APL) she will try to interfere. And I know she will threaten me if I ask her to excuse herself. This will be 30-mintues before our meeting starts, and so the SM wont be there, and hopefully the parents will just drop the kids off, but I know that one will stay. If there is anything that even hints about this subject please give the website that I could possibly find it on.

It's official title was: White Stag Junior Leader Conference. Also, I have another question, i have moved to another area in my parish, but i still attend my current troop. But where I live a new troop has formed with only 6 members, a they want me to double-register and also be there Senior Patrol Leader. Also, where I live now, there is a club called ICP, which focuses on the Wildlife Reervation, but they are registered as a Venturing Crew. Can I double-register, or will I have to pick one or the other. See, the new troop knows of my expertise in that area, and they want me to join, since im two merit badges from eagle, to let people ow that there troop has an Eagle in it, and the ICP is very, very populated, but I don't want to live my Crew, since I'm a founding member. Also, something to think about.... In the Scout Law, it says a Scout "is" But in the Scout Oath, it says you will "try your best" to follow the Scout Law. Now if a scout must follow the Scout Law as said by the Scout Law, then when you say I'll do my best to obey the Scout Law, Then what are you truely saying. I'll tell you the answer in my next post.

First, My JLT Course was a week long, as I said I was a Beaver, and on my ticket were the 11 basic leadership skills. And, yea, we our numer one rule in our crew and troop is to have fun. And yea, after we hold our experience camp-out, everyone who joins will all attend a VLSC.

JLT means Junior Leadership Training, its a Boy Scout thing. And im sorry, we wear uniforms at our school, so I would be suspened if I did, and that wouldnt be scout like now would it? About the Bronze Award, our Council knows we do it because we are very well known within the council, and they've seen me a plenty of times, and they havent said anything yet. And here are my answers to Advisor Jim's statements: We wont use the same exact committee We are not having them on the same night, or that ruin a couple of us Sorry, we are a poor troop, and limited supplies, so we have to use troop equipments, but troop always has first call to use of equipment We are, but a number will be the same since the Cub Scouts are also the same number and we dont want to ruin tradition Our Scoutmaster will be our Male Advisor, and a troop committee member will be the female Advisor There we go, reply soon, usually it takes you guys days to reply!

First, the the Quartermaster is in the troop, not the Committe. Second, the Red Beret is a troop things, but here are our requiremnets: Earn your First Aid, Swimming, Camping, Wilderness Survival, and Cooking Merit Badges. The Silver Stag, that what you earn after you finish your JLT ticket, I was a Beaver. The Bronze Award, while we were a Venturing Patrol, we arned the Bronze Outdoor Award. And the Ranger Award, I have the "Merit Badges" left for Ranger, then I will go to the Ranger handbook, and apply what I've learned from the merit badges to help me in the Rnger award requriemnts. See, Im not using the merit badges to be counted as my requriemnets, but to gain knowledge, unless you can use them to fufil the requriments. Also, we have decided on our Venturing stuff, We will on many more occasions wear our class B uniform, which will consist of a Venturing blavk golf shirt, khaki pants, black socks, leather Boy Scout belts, with Venturing belt buckle. Our Class A, which I tried to tell everyone we should't do, will be the Khaki shirt, (sigh). Also, I wont get killed now!!!! We are going to go to the schools in our parish and give the junior high to high school kids a night they can come and meet us at a meeting, then we will take everyone, yes that even means girls, on an experince camp-out, and if anyone want to join, may it be guys or girls, we will allow them to join. And, everyone will have a chance to have a position right off the bat, since we decided that we wouldnt give ourselves the first positions. Oh yea, the 14-mile award isnt an official BSA award, its a medal the Vicksburg National Military Park gives to you if you have hiked 14-miles through the park, its a historic park.

Does it have to be the same as the Boy Scout Committee? I hope not, because we already have some Committee members in mind, and the Assistant Scoutmaster and his wife arnt one of them! And heads up, in December, i get my Red Beret, my Silver Stag, my Polor Bear award, my Bronze award, my 14-miler hikers award, and i've almost done my Ranger award, just 2 requried ones left!!!!!! But I still have trouble getting two scouts to listen to me, and they have leadership position, and one of them I think we are about to free him of his posotion, Quartermaster....

We are a Venturing Patrol, but here are the things: two of our 4 are are already 18, and we all want to get the Range Award, and we are doing this so we can continue after Boy scouts to earn awards, and another is that the so called Assistant Scoutmaster is always nagging and his wife is always nagging, so if we are a Venturing Crew, he can nag, but we wont be under him! Our Venturing Male Advisor will be our Scoutmaster, a 76 yrs. Navy Veteran, Silver Beaver Award, and former District Executive, and our Female Advisorwill be a new lady, but very good, she has been in the Army for 8 yrs., and knows more stuff than the Assistant Scoutmaster. And I just want to know, do Vebturing Crews ave a Committee?

Our chartered organization doesn't carre what we do as long as we dont make the church look bad, help them out, and dont kill anyone or be killed. They think we can handle everyting out without them. Also, I've armed the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Girl Scouts, 4-H Club, Beta Club, and FFA with Boy Scout knifes and axes so if if anyone does try to kill me we will cut em, gut em, and deep fry em with some crawfish. And I'll be killing three birds with one stone. See, they will learn to stich up a body for first-aid, and will properly learn to use the axe by cutting off a head, and I wont get killed! I love with when people look up to me!

I hope the women of the fourm don't try to come to Ferriday to kill us, but we have decided-NOT- to let girls or women in to the Venturing Crew. We talked about it for a very long time and came to an agreement to make it a all male Venturing crew (for now). We may still take some on a camp-out as guests, and maybe down the road vote again to let them in or not. I know many of u believe that we are stupid, idiotic, preverted men that are sexest not to let the girls in, but we were going to let them in, until they told us that they really just wanted to find a boyfriend. There are still some who we believe would do very good in Venturing, my sister and our Scribe's sister are two of them. But we decided it would be unfair all the girls if we let a few in and not all. And i have a question off topic: If you have earned the First Aid Merit Badge, can it be used in a duel requirement for the Ranger Award( you have a first aid required one and a first aid elective one) It says in the handbook it if you can use it the same one for different awards, but nothing about using the merit badge for duel in the same award? Again, I beg of the women, DONT TRY AND KILL US FIVE!!!! I LIKE TO LIVE!!!!!!!

Everyone but Trail Pounder listen and read the next few lines very carefully... IT WAS A (Now really listen) J-O-K-E On the uniform issue, thanx alot, we have decided to get the official Venturing Class A shirt, but leave the rest the same(note: everyone that starting the crew has a red beret, so then we founding Crew members don't have to get a new hat) And the girl issue. I know girls have the power to be better leaders, the majority are better, but we have sat down with them outside of scouting and said that they really are joining to hopefully find a boyfriend and can use this as an excuse to see boys more often. They told us they really weren't planning on doing nothing in the organization. So that's why we are going to take the girls on a test camp-out, and see if any actually enjoy adventure, beside the guys. See, we were thinking of letting them camp in a different camp-site than us and see which one really prevail, and if any we will ask them to join us in Venturing.

First, we cant find any other design, and we were just thinking of keeping the khaki shirts because two of the four are in the Boy Scout Troop, and the other two are Assistant Scoutmasters. Everyone in our troop in kinda poor except for one stuck up family. But what if the khaki shirts we use arn't the same ones used in the the Boy scouts. They both will look the same, but one will be for strictly Venturing, and one strictly for Boy Scouts, all else the same. And the members thing, there are no women joining, just 14-16 yrs. old girls that want to join because they either like one of the guys, or they like all of the guys! Ok, im 14, my fellow Eagle canidate is 17, and the two Assistant Scoutmasters are 18 (Both Eagle). And another one soon to join is 14 or 15. (They say we look sexy in uniform, another reason to always wear your uniform in public!
