  1. Who's name will be on the title for this vehicle? Will it be an individual or the CO? Technically, troops don't own anything. The CO owns all of the troops equipment.
  2. We buy them a Boy Scout book and put $25 in their boy scout account. We also give them an arrow for their arrow of light. How elaborate we get varies from year to year depending on what the WLs want to do that year. The Boy Scouts give them a neckerchief and slide.
  3. Do what you think is best for your pack. We don't award them until B&G and then each meeting thereafter. I've even had a couple of instances where the boys didn't earn their rank until mid summer. I know that's not exactly kosher but I didn't think it was right to hold the boys back because their parents kept putting off helping them with the few things they needed to in order for their son to earn the rank. We work on arrow points throughout the year and award them at pack meetings after they have earned their rank.
  4. We have about 20 cars. We give awards to the top 3. We also give awards for sportiest, most original and best of show.
  5. Must have drank a little too much of the kool-aid. ....I posted it from my phone and I didn't think it was going through. It must have posted each time I hit the button.
  6. I'm pretty sure thethe saying "drinking the kool-aid" came form the book The Kool-Aid Acid Test by Thomas Wolf.

  13. When a new boy joins he pays the registration through the end of the year and has to buy a shirt. From that point on, the pack or CO covers everything. The pack uses popcorn money to pay for books, scarfs, sliders, campouts, den/pack activities, class B shirts, etc. The CO covers all recharter fees. We are very fortunate in this regard.
