  1. howarthe, You don't need a tour and activity plan for either case. See: Tour and Activity Plan FAQ: http://www.scouting.org/sitecore/content/Home/HealthandSafety/DemoTourPlanFAQ.aspx Tokala, Scout Wire is an e-newsletter for local and National Council employees focusing on the latest BSA projects and programs, whether they are just getting underway or are being updated with new information. It is published every two weeks by the Internal Communications Department at the National Council. Source: http://scout-wire.org/about/ On May 1, the new online tour and activity plan will be activated for authorized unit volunteers to access in MyScouting. I have not tested the new system but from watching the training video, it appears to be an improvement over the prior online tour plan. Tour and Activity Plan training video:
  2. I hadn't thought of Kodiak training as it's Venture oriented. I'll look at it. Thanks. Any others?
  3. NYLT at Greater St. Louis Area Council has a high adventure theme: three days going from one campsite to another by canoe and the other three days backpacking; course materials are taught on the trail along the way. http://www.stlbsa.org/training/youth-training/Pages/National-Youth-Leadership-Training.aspx What other councils offer NYLT in a high adventure format? I'm looking for something a little closer to Washington, DC. Anyone with Scouts that attended training at GSLAC? Thanks. ..Mike Smith .
