For as I have been going to Camp, the only cell phones allowed are the ones the adults carry. We have a no electronics rule for camp.

I've been to several caves including Carter,Mammouth, and a few here in the Hoosier Natl Forest. Getting down into the tight tunnels is the best. But not this year as I found out that almost all caves are closed due to a problem with the bats getting some kind of disease. I might look into maybe doing my own Spelunking Merit badge program. Sounds interesting. Thanks!

I was wondering if there was a Spelunking Merit Badge offered in the past, or maybe in the future? Our Troop lives in an area where there is quite a few cave systems around including some that are tour guided down and dirty. We have some of our Scouts in our Troop that inquired about this.

Well its time I get back on this site and start posting. I joined a couple years ago, but never really got going on posting. My son has been in Scouting (cub & BS ) for 9yrs now. I,ve been in with him as a den leader and now as a ASM. I'm enjoying it as much as he does. Right now him and the rest of out Troop is up at our WinterRama Campout. 0 degree!!! Our Troop is in Southern Ind. and we went to McKee in 06 and 08. Both trips went really great. Its not too big of Camp, but to me its well worth it. Dining hall is huge and air conditioned. Food was, well it was pretty good to say the least. Waterfront is well run and well kept. Camp sites are clean and weed free. Trading post is well stocked except on last week of Camp. Merit badge counselors were pretty good as well. They talked about long range plans for the Camp and the way they talked, it will be a premier Camp in the future. Another good Camp we went to is BuckToms in Tenn. Its on the Tenn River.
