Thanks everyone, It's sites like this that help narrow down the many choices.

Our troop does a long distance trip every 2 years. This year the whole Troop went to a neighboring council Scout Camp. (Merit badge camp) Next year there are 3 options for the boys. 1. Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness trip. (including the Canadian side) 2. Sid Richardson Scout Camp, the Chisholm Trail Adventure camp. (a lot of the boys went there last year) 3. in district summer camp, for those not old enough to travel. We are in the Denver, Co area so you know. I also remember growing up in FL., we did the same thing. By having an "off" year, the boys can get a lot of badges knocked out in one weeks time. It also helps the wallet also.

Some of our Troop are going to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness next summer. Right now, we know we are going to the Ely area and that is it. I am looking for any recommendations on outfitters in the area. Also if there are any that need to be stayed away from. I would like to hear from those who have used the services of outfitters verses Northern Tier. We are traveling from Littleton, Co. (SW Denver), and want to make the most of our first trip to the BW and Canada. I have been on bwca.com and requested info already, so I know the logistics of the trip, just trying to narrow down the choices. Thanks in advance. TJ
