Had a meeting with the council finance person today, here's the official story. Council was directed by National about 1 year ago to notify all units that selling Corbi's will not be allowed. Did they show you this in writing or was this verbal? I have never heard or seen anything like this from my council.

Just because sex between two homosexual people can't produce a child doesn't mean that the couple cannot procreate. Homosexual couples can have children through implantation or artificial insemination. They can also adopt which is something that more people should be doing anyway. Shoulda been more specific. Homosexual couples can't procreate without outside help where traditional couples can. And yeah I know not all traditional couples can & need outside help but not 100% of the time.

There will always be those who feel there denomination is the "only" one. The rub is when they beat you over the head with it about everything! Oh, BTW, I'm one of those Bad Parents, too!

I've got 20+ years in Scouting as an adult & while I think popcorn is over priced it's sole purpose is a fundraiser. And if this unit your father is involved in has successful popcorn fundraisers, maybe it's time for your father to have an outside audit of the unit's books completed. Regardless of the outcome, popcorn is a fundraiser.

As all Protestants you focus on the scriptures too much (Which you don't have the authority to interpret) and ignore the tradition that the Church has also harbored as part of the deposit of faith. How can you focus too much on the Scriptures? The Scripture is the Word of God! And anyone can interpret it! You don't need a to be a priest or pastor or bishop or scholar! Homosexuality is harmful to the family structure. I think he is referring to when one finds they have a homosexual in their family, they have no choice but to shun them. That destroys the structure of the family. Shunning them is NOT the only choice! I think what is being referred to is the inability of homosexual couples to procreate within their relationship.

I don't think any denomination has closed their doors to homosexuals. All are allowed to attend services! Membership is different.

Eagle projects don't have to be complex projects. My son's Eagle project was to build kestrel hawk boxes & place them. Simple. The key to an Eagle project is the leadership aspect. Does the Eagle candidate show leadership in the project?

Well, those are your opinions why. Look at the projects with the Eagle project guidelines then answer the question.

You make some broad statements that can't be backed up, aquaticeagle, and it sounds like you have an agenda. You also seem to be hung up on the "physically strong" part of the Oath. From what I have read, I get the feeling the point of this thread is, well, nothing.

My wife got me an iPod for my 50th birthday! What a great invention! I love this thing! It goes everywhere with me! I love music, too, Eamonn! I felt the same way you did when I was a youngin! The 1st LP I bought was Surrealistic Pillow by the Jefferson Airplane! Since I got my iPod, I have been rebuilding my 205+ LP collection digitally. I'm only about 1/2 way there! And I gotta tell ya, the tunes sound a whole lot better than the old vinyl discs!
