Until the BSA make a uniform mandatory, there is nothing to enforce. And I'd bet if they did make a uniform mandatory, it wouldn't effect anything!

I wouldn't have a problem with paying increased taxes if I actually got something for it! What's wrong with wanting the government to use the money we pay them via taxes for needed things! Raises are not needed things! Road repair, new text books, etc. In essence, as taxpayers, we are their employers. If they aren't doing the correct thing with our money, we shouldn't be re-electing this bozos! The real problem lies with not enough people taking their right to vote seriously.

Are mom and dad the ones who want to earn Eagle or does their son? I would not have the coffee chat with mom & dad. This boy is old enough to make his own decisions. It is not our job as adult leaders to hold these boys hands as they go through Scouting. Our job is to make all the advancement opportunities they will need available. Our job is to help teach them to make moral and ethical decisions. It's the Scout's job to take advantage of this.

Just because the BSA put what you think is an iPod pocket in the uniform doesn't mean they are endorsing the device or any other electronic device.

If the Scout "obtains" several names from the SM and choses the one he wants to work with why is this a problem? If ya want to start parsing participles the Scout only obtains one name per the SM handbook not several.

The Scoutmaster assigns the MB counselor just like it states in the SM and Boy Scout handbook.

Awhile back I had a part time job at a hosptial. I worked every Saturday and Sunday, I don't remember being asked if that was ok nor was I given time off to attend church services, but I manged to make Mass evey Sunday I worked Did this hospital have a mission statement that stated the workers were to be reverent? I kinda doubt it. But it is great to hear you made tome to attend a worship service every Sunday, OGE! Great example of being reverent!

He must earn an amount of money agreed upon by the Scout and his parents and save at least 50 percent of it. For a 2nd Class Scout? Huh? I understand the point but what time frame is this money earned in & how long does he have to save it? Is there a minimum amount he must earn? Does allowance from his parents count? Way too many variables! EDGE is just a fancy acronym for teaching.
