I do know midsummer started posting this in another forum before she showed up here. There is something more to this story than we know and I would bet there never was an appeal.
While both the VFW and American Legion are very religiously conservative, neither one appears to exclude atheists. The VFW removed their "believe in god" requirement about 5 years ago.
What does that have to do with the topic of this thread? Absolutely nothing!
It appears this situation mdsummer45 describes has been going on for a year! There is really something fishy about this whole thing. I am seriously beginning to doubt if National ever had this for appeal or even if an appeal was ever filed! I'm starting to think BadenP is correct that mdsummer45 is an attention junkie!
I would agree BadenP except for one thing - mdsummer45 posted the exact same story in another forum prior to posting here.
There is no way National would take so long on this UNLESS there is something that falls in the gray area of acceptable behavior.
You could be correct pack, but that's how I do it! We use the most current MB pamphlet! If I'm completing a partial, I check the start date and use the most current pamphlet regardless of what the Scout used.
Good question. I would say it is up to the counselor.
This is what I would do. I would count the requirements completed under the old requirements as completed and go with the new requirements for the unfinished ones.
There are good & bad things about caravaning. I personally feel caravaning is a good thing! The entire group can stay together. Naturally every vehicle has directions. This will help eliminate the need to stay too close together.
