Interesting site. I'm not sure what the whole point of the page is, though. Animals adapt to their environment. God does create people with physical & mental infirmities. Why, I don't know. I do know that we are all made in the image of God & maybe I worded my post poorly. In the Bible, God denounces sin. He doesn't denounce physical & mental infirmities. He also destroys whole cities because they are immoral & will not change. And in each instance, the major immorality is homosexuality! God never destroyed people because they were mentally or physically imperfect! lttlebillie, I guess you are correct. I won't play because I will not compromise my morals. If you want to, go ahead. I am not for any type of piercings on guys & I don't like tattoo's. But it is a fad & kids like fads! My Troop doesn't have any policy regarding this stuff but I have told my Scouts that during special ceremonies like Scout Sunday, Eagle COR's, etc. all piercings must be left unpierced & tattoos covered. When I went to Woodbadge, we had two females in my patrol. Their tent was next ot mine & there were two guys on the other side of them. We had no problems. We respected each other's privacy. Tenting together as a patrol DOES promote team building. If your patrol is right there, you feel safer. If your patrol sets up tents 50 feet apart, then you are only IN a patrol not PART of a patrol. I like Roosters advice. Very sound. BUT ........... If I found out he was in fact badmouthing the Troop, I would sit him down with my ASM's & committee members & ask him what his problem is? If he dug in, I would tell him his services are no longer needed & would take the necessary steps to have him removed from the Troop.
