You can have a carwash for a price set by the customer, but they receive the car wash in return so it is not actually a donation, it is a purchase." So based on this if a private individual donates $1,000 to my unit I can't accept it because my unit didn't provide a service for that funds received? That'll make the donater happy! scouting-nerd, Then your council & Troop are adding to the requirement. A uniform is not required for any rank INCLUDING Eagle. SR540Beaver, I am not requiring anything! The camp is making the recommendation Scouts wear their field uniforms 100% of the time! Like I have said. I like the uniform & think it should be required in the BSA. SR540Beaver, I'm not the one setting the requirement. The camp is! Besides that, if Acco's transcript is accurate the camp recommends the field uniform "100% of the time". HMMMMM that could make it tough for those scouts going from the swimming pool to a meal at the dining hall! Not really. The Scout wears his uniform to swimming with his trunks already on & underware in hand. After swimming, he goes commando till he gets to the dining hall (providing this isn't a patrol cooking camp which it should be) where he slips into the restroom & puts on his undies! Interesting question, acco40. Yes the SPL should do something. And it should be to sit the two Scouts down, explain the rules and expect them to be followed. No reason why they weren't in uniform is required. Yes the SM should do something. The same thing the SPL did with the two Scouts! Bob's posted while I was typing! Sounds like Mr. White is advocating breaking the rule council set forth! Should he be tossed out of Scouting for breaking the rules? CubsRgr8, We attend Heritage Reservation in Farmington, PA. The merit badges aimed at the older Scouts are motorboating, water skiing, climbing and shotgun shooting. The activities for the older Scouts are Mountain Boarding, Discovery, Outpost, White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding and Caving. Some of these are off the reservation. C.O.P.E. is also offered along with a full slate of over 30 merit badges, Trail to Eagle and Trail to First Class. I think that covers it! Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10

I would agree with dan. It seems like the family is selling the fireworks & donating them to the Troop. What we don't know is are they selling them under the auspice the profits go to a BSA Troop? If so, I would say the Troop accepting the $$$ is in violation of the G2SS just as if they were selling them. Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10

When we go to summer camp, we get two baggies of bug juice mix per meal. We save one from each meal & Friday for dinner we mix it all together and have Troop 1 Punch! And a fine brew it is! Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10
