So, Ed, what is your objection to the Methods? I have none They don't work for you, or you have better methods (or ways), or what? They work fine. Why do you feel the Methods should be optional? The Worldnet Daily reported an increasing number of California PUBLIC school students must attend an intensive 3 week course on Islam. The course mandates that 7th graders learn the tenets of Islam, study important figures of faith, wear a robe, adopt a muslim name, and stage their own jihad. If we can not begin to understand God in human terms then how can we humans begin to judge other humans based on God and morality based on our ignorant and vastly limited knowledge of God? We are not suppose to judge others. That's God's job. How can we say "God thinks this _________" if we can not begin to understand anything of what God thinks? We can understand God just not completely. If we are ignorant in understanding God, can it not be true that nothing can be solidly defined as right or wrong? I never said we are ignorant in understanding God. We (those who believe in God) should strive to try to understand Him. We just can't define Him in human terms. God isn't human. ANY scout without complete uniform at a BOR or SM conference is turned away. By doing this you are adding to the requirements which isn't allowed. I agree Scouts should be in uniform for all SM Conferences & BOR's but it can't be made a requirement. Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10

Is it possible that the Bible is actually correct that the world was created in a few days? Yes, it's possible, but all available evidence says otherwise. So, as a matter of available knowledge, most would agree that the world was created several billion years ago. Could that be wrong? Sure, but based on our current level of understanding, it seems unlikely. According to the Bible, the world was created in 6 days. There is no definition as to what time frame a day consisted of when the world was created. The Julian calendar came long after the world was created. When my kids were younger we signed them up for lots of stuff. We did ask them 1st and told them if they were signed up, they would have to see the commitment through until it was time to re-register. This worked well. There was a time my son wanted to quit football and we reminded him of his commitment. We told him he didn't have o play next season, but he made a commitment for this season & had to see it through. And by Watson stating the theory of evolution is fact & the Bible isn't right in the face of science is just more proof atheists are making it up as they go so it fits their position & beliefs. schleining, If the uniform were required, it would be on the youth & adult application. It isn't. There is nothing in any publication the BSA issues that states the uniform is required to be a member of the BSA. Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10

FScouter, I am not a uniform hater. As I have stated in this & other threads we should strive to wear the uniform correctly. When I attend a Troop meeting or other Scouting function, I always wear my uniform. When I was a Scoutmaster, I always encourage all Troop members to wear the uniform. Bob, I am not the one having trouble understanding. I understand just fine. But then I forgot how you feel the BSA is never wrong or hypocritical. My point is the uniform isn't required to be a member of the BSA. Yet, many summer camps, councils, districts, Troops, etc. require a Scout and/or Scouter to wear the uniform. Can't do that! OGE, They are methods. I see nothing that states they are required. A Troop isn't required to have a NSP, although it is part of the Patrol Method. No one is required to own a uniform, but there is a Uniform Method. I hope this answers your question. Ed Mori Troop 1 1 Peter 4:10
