Well, it's not routine maintenance. It isn't of commercial nature or a fundraiser. It is being done for a business. Scouts build park benches, jungle gyms for schools, beautify a cemetery, etc. as Eagle projects all the time. How many Eagle projects are done for organizations that make money? I'm sure there are a lot. A putting green for a bunch of old guys in a nursing home is a great Eagle project! On the cover of my Leader's Edition, and adult is wearing his QU patch on his right sleeve and a Webelos crossing over is wearing a different year QU on his left sleeve. Also, A Scout is wearing his MB sash over his belt and it looks as though the same Scout has his OA sash on. So I guess that means these are correct ways to wear the uniform. What is ethical treatment of animals? One definition of ethical is Being in accordance with the accepted principles of right and wrong that govern the conduct of a profession. Now it is an accepted principle of professional fisherman and those who govern fishing laws that catch and release is OK. So based on that, it is ethical. I would say the same for hunting. So if PETA is for the ethical treatment of animals, they (1)either don't understand the principles of the professions they are terrorizing or (2)they are making up their own rules. PETA are no different than terrorists. Their tactics are deplorable and their cause isn't even a worthy one. Sure animal shouldn't be abused. I'm all for putting those behind bars who abuse animals. But fishing is cruelty to animals! So is hunting! I proposed PETA is cruelty to human beings! And when did animals get rights? Did we vote on that?
