  1. How many kids today can't read an analog clock!
  2. No Ed, you're the one who argues that if people don't believe as you do, they cannot be Christians. That's like the silly people who don't like golf and claim that it isn't a sport. I have never argued that, GW. I don't expect people to believe exactly what I believe. Yep Beav, I am a Christian. Here's the reality Ed, if I follow the teachings of Christ but believe that he's an alien who came to Earth to recruit people to populate his city on Znerflot then I am a Christian. No you're not. You really don't understand, do you. If you believe that Christ is the son of God and belive that belief will save you in the afterworld, you're a Christian too. If you believe that Christ came to the new world to preach to the lost tribe of Jews, you're a Christian. If you believe that after Christ died, he went to Scandanavia and sang songs with Norsemen, you're a Christian. There is a lot more too it than just believing Christ is the Son of God. An atheist can believe Christ is the Son of God, but since an atheist doesn't believe in God, well you should be able to make the connection. For my part, I'm looking forward to visiting Znerflot. Send picture when you get there. The wife & I are always looking for a new vacation spot. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  3. Another strange question..... Are we all in trouble for the trademark stuff on Troop websites???? I would day no. From what I have read we are allowed to use these logos on web sites as long as we don't alter them. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  4. GW, Your view of reality is totally skewed. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:20 A blessed Christmas to all
  5. What does the EEOC have to do with this? Theses people were volunteers not paid BSA employees! Sounds like scammers to me! Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  6. OK so Mormons are nice quiet people with well mannered kids. I know a lot of people that I could say the same thing about. Doesn't make them Christians. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  7. CoH's are up to the Eagle. Beav's right on the money!!
  8. You assert that because something is or isn't in the bible it must or must not be. No I didn't. I said their book of authority was the Book of Mormon not the Bible. You misunderstood what I posted. Now, isn't that nicer than being called a liar? Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10
  9. We've always gone by the 5 second rule. If ya drop it & pick it up in 5 seconds, it's still edible!
  10. Same reason as what, Merlyn? No the ACLU isn't a youth organization but they seem bent on making life miserable for the BSA yet, fails to police its own. Did ya read what I posted? Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  11. The bible makes many references to "the ends of the earth." Does that mean that the world is flat? Shouldn't the holy scribes have been told that the Earth is round and has no end? You have to be kidding me! No point trying to argue with that type of logic since it is so illogical in the 1st place. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  12. Yes it is Merlyn. Maybe the ACLU should have the same policy, huh? Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  13. Ya really need to learn a little more GW. Making statements like Protestants blow with the wind. The Roman Catholics seek relevancy in today's world. The Orthodox haven't changed anything significant in about 1,000 years. We have it nailed! is really painting with a wide brush and not accurate. Mormons primary authority is the Book of Mormon, not the Bible. For Catholics, & Orthodox & Protestants it's the Bible 1st. Big difference. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  14. Yes Roman Catholics & Orthodoxs have different books in their Bible. But their reference is the Bible. There is no Book of Catholic or Book of Orthodox or Book of Methodist or Book of Presbyterian. The Book of Mormon is their main reference, not the Bible. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  15. I gotta agree Slouchhat. Copyrighting generic terms like life & star & eagle & scouting & scout, etc. is just wrong. Adn forcing Scouting units to pay more for t-shirts & stuff like this is nothing more than greed. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10
  16. Ya missed my point GW! Mormon's have the Book of Mormon.
  17. Guess it's OK for ACLU executives to molest kids but not OK for BSA volunteers!(This message has been edited by evmori)
  18. You're selling camping, fishing, building fires, helping in the community, building towers. You are selling the program to the kids. After all, it is for them. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  19. It is all about the money. Units get shirts printed for their unit, not for resale! The unit is not in violation of trademark infringement & neither is the company who prints shirts with BSA logos strictly for a units use. The infringement occurs when shirts are produced to be sold outside of the unit. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  20. Mormons are not Christians. Sure they read the Bible but, the basis of their belief (in my opinion) are the writings of John Smith who was a self-proclaimed prophet not the Bible. Therefore, not Christians. Actually, Christianity isn't Jewish since Jews don't believe Jesus was the Son of God. Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all(This message has been edited by evmori)
  21. I'm criticizing the BSA for their lax youth protection which lead to the victimization of children. Merlyn, Are you an ACLU member? I think you posted somewhere you are. Have you ever criticized the ACLU for their lax youth protection which lead to the victimization of children? Ed Mori 1 Peter 4:10 A blessed Christmas to all
  22. Breaking out the liar card again! Great way to defend a point! Debase & degrade the poster! Just like it's done in the political arena! Invalidate the others argument so yours appears to be valid whether it is or not! While we are discussing molesters, let's not forget this from February of this year A former American Civil Liberties Union executive, who once argued that Internet filters in libraries that limited children's access to pornography would interfere with their ability to learn and communicate, is facing a federal court hearing today on charges he possessed child pornography. The preliminary hearing is scheduled in court in the Eastern District of Virginia for Charles Rust-Tierney, 51, of Arlington, Va., who has been held in custody in the case since his arrest. According to report on the case, Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMS, which reportedly depicted graphic forcible assaults on young girls. Rust-Tierney, who served as president of the Virginia ACLU chapter for several years, was the lawyer who argued against Internet filters in libraries in the early 2000s when the ACLU was opposing the Children's Internet Protection Act, which later was approved by Congress.
