David L. 2
Hi gang! My name is David, I am a pretty new Scoutmaster. I was an ASM for two years prior, and Assistant Den Leader for several years before that. My buddy Eric was the guy I was sure it would be in my shoes now, but here I am! Seems like this hour a week business isn't entirely accurate, is it?
Sentinel947 1205
Welcome to the forums! As a disclaimer, most of us are not BSA employees, and this is not an official mouthpiece of any Scouting organization. In other words, caveat emptor. qwazse 4333
Welcome! What happened to you and your buddy was pretty much how I got my crew advisor patch. I'm not much for graphics, so just imagine a Steelers fan wearing a proud Sooner Boomer parent t-shirt right now. (I know those are fighting words in some parts of your state, but full disclosure ... )
SSScout 1608
Yep. Pull up a virtual log and fill your virtual camp cup with virtual coffee and take some virtual crackers and cheese off the virtual picnic table of this virtual cracker barrel (campfires don't do well with electronics). ""I am a pretty new Scoutmaster"" Waaaaal, never thought of my SM as being pretty (he smoked a pipe) , but to each his own.... As for the "one hour a week", that gets multiplied by per Scout, per adult per day per paper form to fill out per .... But it will be worth it, trust me. Is being closer to Irving an advantage? Krampus 696
Is being closer to Irving an advantage? Only if you consider access to the museum and MB classes a plus.
Stosh 3452
I was at the museum this winter. The Rockwell Gallery was really great!, the parking lot was good and the rest was okay.
