So, this happened while the site suffered its blow to the head

Always think about tickets .... but don't worry about it that much. You have a long time for those.   When you are there, participate ... AND keep your eyes open and watch everything. I'd been

I just received an email this morning from my Ticket Counselor!  He is turning in my paperwork to the Course Director today!  As soon as all requisite signatures are tendered I will have completed the course!

I'm a bit confused here.... BSA doesn't mind an optional piece of the uniform to be worn with a non-uniform?  If it's not official uniform parts why would or should they care?

You'll have to take that up with the previous writers of the Insignia Guide, which until this year read that neckerchiefs were not to be worn over anything but official uniform shirts. I figure National Supply wanted to make sure they were selling nearly as many shirts and slides as they were scarves.

Scouts at World Jamboree broke that bronco, what with their friendship knots and piling on multiple neckers (representing their favorite exchanges) over activity shirts. I suspect some of our boys (maybe girls in crews too?) would gladly give up their ODL uniform shirt (known to be the world's most colorful) to have one of those scarves from another nation.

@@Sentinel947 and @@baggss, under uniforming, did they mention the latest insignia guide revision which now allows the neckerchief to be worn without the field uniform? The official syllabus has not been revised, yet, but maybe your instructors were willing to go off script!

Just curious ...

not that i noticed, ill ask tho

Congratulations! I just completed my ticket a couple of weeks ago and received a similar email. I can only describe the sense of relief I felt by comparing it to how I felt in college when I would finish a really long paper or exams.
