#17 Community Organization Award gold knot on purple. This knot represents one of several awards given by Community Orgs that are National Partners with the BSA. These awards are approved by the BSA, and follow a basic requirements criteria, but they are owned/managed by the Community Org. Similiar to the Religious Award knots, except that the BSA is specific about what awards are part of this. So far, this knot represents the following awards: *Marvin M. Lewis Award of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) *Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award *Veterans of Foreign Wars Scouter's Achievement Award *American Legion Scouting Square Knot Award *Department of DefenseUnited States Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal *Herbert G. Horton Alpha Phi Omega Youth Service Award of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity *Cliff Dochterman Award of the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians *Ruritan Scout Leader Community Service Award of Ruritan National Service Clubs *Raymond A. #22 Professional Circle or Fellowship Honor Knot The Professional circle is awarded to career Scouters who have completed at least four years of professional tenure, all three levels of basic professional development ( PD-L1, PD-L2, and PD-L3), and three other courses from an approved list. Recognition consists of a wall certificate and, of course, the black on-white square knot for wear on the field uniform. The Fellowship Honor requires completion of the Professional Circle, two more courses from the approved list, and a pre-approved thesis. Recognition includes a handsome certificate and a gold pin to be worn on the square knot. These recognitions are available to professionals only and demonstrate a desire for professional improvement. #28 Silver Antelope knot with white and yellow threads #29 Silver Buffalo knot with white and red threads This completes the set made up of Silver Buffalo, Antelope, Buffalo, and World. Silver Antelope is the Regional award, for Regional service. Silver Buffalo is the National award, for National service. This award is ALSO given to non-scouters of a national prominence for their 'service to youth'. This has been given to authors, artists, politicians, and the like.

#10-B Silver Fawn Award Same knot as the Silver Beaver "In 1969, a study was conducted by the BSA on the subject, "Awards for Women." One of the results of this study was the creation of the "Silver Fawn Medal." It was introduced in 1971 for use at the council level and was designed to be the women's equivalent of the Silver Beaver Award, which since 1931 had gone to male Scouters who had made outstanding contributions to Scouting at the local council level." from http://www.geocities...ilver-fawn.html

30) ?Como Esta Usted? How about the Vale La Pena Award for scouting service to the Hispanic communities. The knot is a blue and yellow knot with the yellow overlapping the blue, on a red field. All the animals have been found, but there is one more cultural one hiding out there.

Would the missing knot be the Asian American Spirit of Scouting Award? Dark green wearers right rope under white wearers left rope on a purple background.

Yah, OK, I'll take a harder one. Da William H. Spurgeon award for outstanding leadership or contributions to Exploring. Gold knot on green. While the award still exists in the Learning for Life division, the knot for use on the traditional scouting uniform was discontinued when Exploring was spun off with LFL in 1998. Only traditional scouters who earned the award before the spin-off are permitted to wear the knot on the uniform. The award could also be earned by organizations as well as individuals. B

Yah, OK, one more.... There's some confusion over religious award knots. Da youth religious award knot was submitted as #15 (silver knot on purple), but marked as adult. Da adult religious award knot (purple knot on silver) should be added. B
