My understanding after reading all the Webelos Information I could find,
including a small Webelos Leader Guide Online at:
http://www.usscouts.scouter.com/cswlg.html, was that the Webelos are to
choose their OWN Patrol. When they cross-over to Boy Scouting they retain
their own Patrol and have their own identity separate from the previous
Patrols. I was told that if the group that crosses over is too small they
tend to go into the Patrol name that is being used by other boys in the
Troop. Last year our Pack only had one boy cross-over. He, of course,
didn't keep the "Patrol" name of his Webelos Den because of this fact.
