Strangest place in Uniform

Kim Moye (kmoye@SUN2177.SPD.DSCCC.COM)

Thanks to everyone who sent me e-mail for Gordon. He was at the pack
meeting and I gave him a big get well card with all the e-mails printed out.
I know he liked it. He starts chemo this week.

Now for a more relaxed thread!

Some people have pretty strong feelings on what the boys should and should
not wear when in uniform...but after what happened to me this week, I have
to rethink the appropriateness (reallly a word?) of things.

I received a call in the morning at 8am. A good friend was getting married
in an extremely small ceremony (immediate family, about 3 friends each
invited) and wanted me to come. The wedding was at 8:30pm. My pack
meeting does not end til 8pm. I told him if I came, it would have to be
in uniform (everyone knows the cubmaster never gets out on time) as I would
have no time to change between events. He said it did not matter, he just
wanted me there.

So yes, I went to the wedding in full uniform (minus earrings--just don't
wear them even though i'm female).

Lucky for me it was at my church. The minister looked at me, grinned and
informed me that I did not have to be in uniform for the occasion!

yis,
